RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY,
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
Participant wishes to participate in the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Nationals at the
____________Speedway on ____________(DATE) IN CONSIDERATION of being
permitted to compete or participate in the Event and/or being permitted to enter
RESTRICTED AREAS (defined as any area requiring special authorization, credentials
or permission to enter or any area to which admission by the general public is restricted
or prohibited), PARTICIPANT, on behalf of himself or herself and his or her personal
representatives, heirs, and next of kin, agrees as follows:
1. Inspection of Restricted Areas: PARTICIPANT acknowledges, agrees and
represents that he or she will immediately upon entering the RESTRICTED
AREAS, and continuously thereafter, inspect the RESTRICTED AREAS, and
further agrees and warrants that, if at any time, he or she is in or about
RESTRICTED AREAS and feels anything to be unsafe, he or she will
immediately advise the officials of such and if necessary will leave the
RESTRICTED AREAS and/or refuse to participate further in the EVENT.
2. Release From Liability: PARTICIPANT releases, waives, discharges and
covenants not to sue the promoters, other participants, racing associations,
sanctioning organizations or any subdivision thereof, track operators, track
owners, officials, car owners, drivers, pit crews, rescue personnel, any persons in
the RESTRICTED AREA, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, owners of the
premises used to conduct the EVENT, premises and event inspectors, surveyors,
underwriters, consultants and others who give recommendations, directions or
instructions or engage in risk evaluation or loss control activities regarding the
premises or EVENT and each of them, their directors, officers, agents and
employees (herein collectively “RELEASEES”) from all liability to
PARTICIPANT and/or his personal representatives, assigns or heirs, for bodily
injury, death, or property damage that PARTICIPANT may suffer in this EVENT,
whether caused by the negligence of RELEASEES or otherwise.
3. Agreement to Indemnify and Hold Harmless: PARTICIPANT agrees to
indemnify, save and hold harmless RELEASEES from any loss, liability, damage,
or cost, including attorney fees, they may incur arising out of or related to his or
her participation in the EVENT, whether caused by the negligence of
RELEASEES or otherwise.
4. Assumption of Risk: PARTICIPANT acknowledges that the activities of the
EVENT are very dangerous and involve a substantial risk of serious injury, death
and/or property damage and that injuries received may be compounded or
increased by negligent rescue operations or procedures of the RELEASEES.
PARTICIPANT acknowledges and voluntarily assumes full responsibility for any
risk of bodily injury, death, or property damage that may arise out of or is related
to the EVENT, whether caused by the negligence of RELEASEES or otherwise.
5. Scope of Release: PARTICIPANT agrees that this Release and Waiver of
Liability extends to all acts of negligence by RELEASEES, including negligent
rescue operations, and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by
the laws of the State of Indiana. PARTICIPANT agrees that if any portion of the Release
and Waiver of Liability is held invalid, the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in
full legal force and effect.
6. Venue: This Release and Waiver of Liability shall be construed in accordance
with the laws of the State of Indiana shall be the sole and exclusive venue for all disputes
arising out of or related to this Release and Waiver of Liability or Participant’s
participation in the EVENT.
7. Arbitration: All claims or disputes arising out of or related to PARTICIPANT’s
participation in this EVENT shall be decided by binding arbitration administered
by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) pursuant to the Federal
Arbitration Act 9 U.S.C. 1, et seq. and in accordance with the Commercial
Arbitration Rules of the AAA
SAFETY RULES
1. Snell 2000 or newer helmet is mandatory.
2. Clean, full driving suit and racing gloves required (Nomex recommended). Head and
neck restraint system is mandatory, Hans or Hutchens. Others may be used but must be
approved by safety personnel.
3. Minimum 4-point roll cage mandatory, 1-3/4 x .095 tubing, two points in front of the
driver and two behind. Mandatory at least 4 door bars on left side, 3 door bars on right
side. Must have 3 vertical bars min. ½”in diameter between dash bar and halo bar in
front of driver. Cage must be welded in a professional manner and is
subject to approval by tech personnel . Resilient padding designed for roll bar use
must be installed on any cage member that can be reached by any extremity of
driver while normally seated with restraints fastened.
4. Side plate for driver’s door is mandatory. Plate must be a minimum of 20” tall x
48” long. Must be 1 solid plate ¼” thick, welded to cage. No splicing or adding will be
allowed. ONE SOLID PLATE.
5. A full windshield is mandatory (Lexan recommended). All other windows must be
removed. The windshield must have 3 vertical supports to keep it from concaving.
Windshield must be fastened with a min. of 8 -1/4” bolts.
6. A racing seat constructed of at least .125 aluminum is mandatory. Seat must be
secured by at least four 3/8” bolts, 2 in front and 2 in the back. Must use large
washers (1 ½” diameter) on the aluminum side. Must be fastened to the roll cage or frame
structure.
7. Cars must use a collapsible steering column. Steering wheels must have a center
pad.
8. All safety belts must be mounted per manufacturers’ recommendations. The
belts should be a minimum of a five-point harness and must be in good condition with a
three year maximum dating. Shoulder harness should be run through a welded loop behind
driver’s seat. Restraint system must be securely attached to roll cage structure.
9. Car must have a front and rear firewall between the driver, engine compartment,
and fuel cell area. Front firewall and floor pans back to the rear fender wells must be
steel and resemble OEM type firewall and floor pan. Rear package tray area and crush
panels may be aluminum.
10. A made for racing fuel cell with foam is mandatory. (maximum 22 gallons)
gasoline only, no additives.
11. Fuel cell must be enclosed in a full steel can. (minimum thickness 22 gauge) The
cell must be surrounded entirely by 1x1 .083 tubing with 2 vertical supports of
the same material encasing the cell (see diagram). Minimum height 10” from ground.
A rear fuel cell bar of at least 1½” .065 tubing is required.
12. Driver side window net is mandatory. No string or mesh nets. Must use a NASCAR
style quick release mechanism and be fastened to the roll cage. No belt buckles. Net
should be tight enough to stop a 10 lb. bowling ball.
13. Fuel line must run through steel tubing if running through driver’s compartment. If
running under car must use at least steel braided line and securely fastened.
14. Battery must be in a full closure box with cover and be securely fastened in front of
rear end or in drivers department.
15. Master On/Off switch located on main hoop behind drivers left shoulder easily
accessible from driver’s window is mandatory.
16. All ballast (lead weight) must be painted white with the car number clearly displayed.
It must be secured in box tubing or with a minimum of two 7/16” bolts per piece of lead.
All lead mounting will be strictly enforced. No weight inside the driver
compartment. A 3” x 4” x .125 box tubing welded to the side of both frame rails may
be used for strengthening and as a ballast box. This method is high recommended.
17. Each car much have a chain securely fastened to the front and rear bumper to
be used to remove cars from the track.
18. An onboard fire extinguisher is allowed.
GENERAL RULES
1. Participant must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license unless
otherwise stated on an event entry form.
2. Car must be American made, 1960-1988. 108” minimum wheel base. Camaros, Novas
and Firebirds will be allowed. Must retain stock rear leaf spring suspension. No
Convertibles, Station Wagons, or Pick- ups. All interior must be removed. All
holes must be patched in firewalls and floor pads.
3. Roof height min. 51” measured 10” back from center of the top edge of the windshield.
4. Nose height min. 6”. The top and bottom of the Camaro nosepiece must butt together.
You may make a valence to get correct nose height. No adding to the middle of the
nosepiece. Side skirting height min. 6” measured at side skirting.
5. Gear Rules to be determined with each track. Check special rules.
6. New style wicker bill will be available soon, price and availability to be determined.
These will be the only wicker bills allowed to compete. No alterations whatsoever.
No decals allowed on wicker bill except mandated by Frank Kimmel Street Stock Series
may only be attached.
7. Rear deck must be securely fastened. Rear deck lids that appear to be loose and
not securely attached will be black-flagged.
8. Bodies must be absolutely stock appearing, no chopping or lowering of bodies in
any way. Factory OEM roof must be used. The top of the rear quarters must be OEM.
Aftermarket OEM replacement front fenders and lower quarters may be used. The
hood, deck lid and doors may be aftermarket. Bodies altered to improve aero dynamics
in any way will be assessed a penalty or not allowed to compete.
9. Rear tail must be enclosed with a stock appearing bumper cover. No cutting,
adding or removing of any material will be allowed.
10. Standard round air cleaner – no fresh air or induction systems allowed. No directing
fresh air to the carburetor. No flow control air cleaners allowed. Front of hood must be
securely fastened and sealed tightly to nose piece at all times on the track.
11. 3100 lbs minimum weight with driver after race, 56% left side maximum. See
diagram for additional weight penalties. Declared weights must be displayed on top
left corner of windshield.
12. Automatic transmissions with stock OEM type working torque converter, min. 10”.
OEM ratios powerglide 182 or 176 turbo 252-152. No lock ups.
No oil coolers in drivers’ compartment.
13. Standard transmissions 3 or 4 speeds with OEM standard ratios will be allowed to
compete, with a 1.23 ratio the lowest ratio allowed before a 1:1 gear. No overdrive gears
allowed. Must use a steel blow proof bell housing if using stock type clutch. 7 ¼ or larger
metallic mini clutch will be allowed and may use an aluminum bell housing. Starters
must mount in stock location. A hydraulic throw out bearing will be allowed.
14. Racing wheels only maximum 8” No AEI tires will be allowed to race. NO softener
or tire treatment of any kind. Hoosier Comanche 27.5 -8.0-15 or 26.5.5 -8.0 -15 only.
Teams will be required to buy 4 tires at the track unless otherwise indicated by entry
blank. These tires will be impounded and may be picked up at a designated time
before qualifying. You must qualify and finish the race on those 4 tires.
15. Any brake pedal located in stock position with master cylinders on the engine side of
the firewall will be allowed. Any other configuration of pedal and master cylinder will be
assessed a 50lb penalty
16. Frame must remain stock from front of steering box to center of rear axle. Lower Aframes
and rear trailing arms must be in stock mounts and stock locations. Upper Aframe
mounts may be altered. Tubular UPPER A-frames may be used. Lower A-Frames
must remain STOCK. Frame may be notched for fuel pump clearance. Cars must retain
stock OEM spec parts. (Lower A-frames, spindles, front hubs, trailing arms, and steering
components must remain stock OEM parts) A floater rear end will be
mandatory. Maximum tread width for front and rear of car measured from outside of
tires at spindle height is 76.” Front sway bars must be stock type only (Howe type).
No splined sway bars allowed and no rear sway bars allowed.
17. One steel non-adjustable shock per wheel, $100.00 max. cost, any shock determined
to have a new price of more than $100 will NOT BE ALLOWED.
18. Bump stops, coil binding and any other chassis limiting devices other than
conventional springs and shocks will not be allowed. There will be a minimum of 800 lb.
front springs. Shocks must be full travel with no bump rubbers, internal or external. Shocks
must have remaining travel at normal suspension movement. Cars that do not have
conventional springs, ie torsion bars, will be dealt with on an individual basis.
19. Driveshaft must be painted white with at least one proper driveshaft loop.
20. All non crate engines: Must be same manufacturer as car. Must be all cast iron (block,
heads, intake, & exhaust manifolds) No angle plug heads allowed. Chevrolet cylinder heads
must be based on 23 degree stock cast iron OEM style cylinder head. The intake must
resemble a stock cast iron OEM style intake. No spacer plates between intake and cylinder
head surfaces. No headers. 362 cubic inch or less can deduct 50 lbs. No engines larger
than 410. No big blocks. Flat top pistons only, 2 valve relief’s ok. Rocker arms must be
stock configuration stamped steel. Stud mounted roller rocker arms will be allowed, 50lb
penalty. 450 max. lift hydraulic cam may compete at no penalty. Any cam other than that
must add 50 lbs. No roller cams. Wet sumps only. An accusump or oil accumulator may
be used. Exhaust must be 2 pipes (max 2 ½” diameter) that must exit in front of the
right rear tire. Pipes may not be connected in anyway. An HEI style distributor must
be used. Coil and module must remain in distributor. A special RPM limiting
module must be used. MSD #83647.
21. Crate Engines only: Chevrolet 602 crate engine will be allowed to compete, OEM
specs only. Can run this engine in any manufacturer of car as outlined in #2. (See above)
Crate engines only subject to following changes: 650 cfm Holley 80541-1 carburetor
allowed. OEM aluminum intake allowed. Headers allowed, but must use 2 ½” exhaust
pipe behind headers and must exit in front of right rear tire and cannot be connected. HEI
style distributor must be used with RPM limiting module (MSD 83647). No gear rule, but
must run designated track RPM limit. Base weight for crate motor will be 3050 lbs. All
other weight penalties will apply. Subject to complete tear down or crate engine exchange.
22. Water only, no antifreeze
23. Engine in stock location or most forward spark plug, no further back than the center
line of the upper ball joints.
24. No electric fuel pumps.
25. One out of the box stock 4412 Holley two barrel for engines larger than 362 cu. in.
Choke horn must remain, choke mechanism may be removed. One carburetor spacer,
maximum thickness with gaskets of 1 ¼". Carburetor must be unaltered.
Engines less than 363 cu. in will be allowed any 4 barrel carburetor.
26. No spoilers, either stock or after market, will be allowed. A hood scoop will be
allowed but must be sealed completely. All hoods must be within 1 ½” of the windshield.
27. All body parts must be securely fastened. Any body parts that appear to be loose or
not securely fastened will be black-flagged.
28. No traction controlled devices of any kind will be allowed.
29. Aftermarket nose pieces that will be allowed for use are the following:
81 Camaro- must be used on Camaros or Firebirds only
81-88 Monte Carlo
86 Caprice (Available at ARP Bodies)
85-89 Chrysler Lebaron
89 T-bird
89-90 Old Cutlass
30. Radios will be mandatory and each car will require use of a spotter in a designated
spotters stand. No car will be allowed on the track at any time without a spotter in
the designated spotters stand.
31. Electronic scoring will be used. A $100 deposit, when necessary, must be paid when
transponder is picked up. Your deposit will be refunded when the transponder is returned.
32. Numbers can now be guaranteed for the entire racing season. You may request
your numbers immediately by sending your request along with a check for $ 50.00 to Frank
Kimmel Street Stock Nationals, 13461 St. Rd. 60, Borden, IN 47106.
Numbers to be guaranteed will be first come, first serve. No duplicate numbers. Numbers
must be at least 24" high, 3" wide on both doors and roof of car. Your car number 6” in
height must be displayed in the upper right hand corner of the windshield.
33. No entry refunds. Promoter has the right to reject any entry or car from
competing. Rules are subject to change at officials’ discretions and weight
penalties may be added for rule infractions.
34. Teams will be responsible for the cleaning of pit area. There will be a charge for
leaving tires or parts behind.
35. A finishing order will be posted at the tech area after post race inspections are
completed. Competitors will have 15 minutes after the posting to protest the finishing
order. After 15 minutes, the finishing order will be official and no changes will be made.
36. We will no longer pay competitors at the track. The payoff checks will be issued and
mailed by the 3rd business day after the event.

It is suggested that the roll cage be dropped into the frame rail for
additional strength also a 3” x 3” gusset welded to the main
cage structure and frame rail is strongly recommended
SPECIAL RULES/Will change from race track to race track
1. Each track will have a specific gear ratio. Rockingham – 275, Salem – 325, Bristol –
325, Kentucky – 275, Charlotte - 275.
2. RPM limit will be 5000 at all tracks, crate motors will be allowed 5500 rpm.
3. The yellow and red flags will be used. Yellow laps will count. There will be a
mandatory stop at approximately half way. This will be the only time fuel may be
added to the car. Other adjustments, tire changes, etc. will be allowed. The field will be
realigned at the current running order at this time for the restart.

appointment.
WEIGHT RULES
1. Base weight 3100lbs, 56% left side maximum checked after race. Designated
weight must be declared on top left windshield.

Deductions
• 362 cubic inch or less for non–crate engines 50lbs
Penalties
• Non-conforming master cylinder location (See Rule 15) 50lbs
• Stud mounted roller rockers 50lbs
• Non hydraulic or larger than 450 lift cams 50lbs
You are responsible for the weight of your car, make sure you understand the
rules and make your car the correct weight for after the race. No fuel will be
allowed to be added after the race.
We reserve the right to change or adjust the rules at any time to enhance
competition and car counts.

7. Rear deck must be securely fastened. Rear deck lids that appear to be loose and
not securely attached will be black-flagged.
8. Bodies must be absolutely stock appearing, no chopping or lowering of bodies in
any way. Factory OEM roof must be used. The top of the rear quarters must be OEM.
Aftermarket OEM replacement front fenders and lower quarters may be used. The
hood, deck lid and doors may be aftermarket. Bodies altered to improve aero dynamics
in any way will be assessed a penalty or not allowed to compete.
9. Rear tail must be enclosed with a stock appearing bumper cover. No cutting,
adding or removing of any material will be allowed.
10. Standard round air cleaner – no fresh air or induction systems allowed. No directing
fresh air to the carburetor. No flow control air cleaners allowed. Front of hood must be
securely fastened and sealed tightly to nose piece at all times on the track.
11. 3100 lbs minimum weight with driver after race, 56% left side maximum. See
diagram for additional weight penalties. Declared weights must be displayed on top
left corner of windshield.
12. Automatic transmissions with stock OEM type working torque converter, min. 10”.
OEM ratios powerglide 182 or 176 turbo 252-152. No lock ups.
No oil coolers in drivers’ compartment.
13. Standard transmissions 3 or 4 speeds with OEM standard ratios will be allowed to
compete, with a 1.23 ratio the lowest ratio allowed before a 1:1 gear. No overdrive gears
allowed. Must use a steel blow proof bell housing if using stock type clutch. 7 ¼ or larger
metallic mini clutch will be allowed and may use an aluminum bell housing. Starters
must mount in stock location. A hydraulic throw out bearing will be allowed.
14. Racing wheels only maximum 8” No AEI tires will be allowed to race. NO softener
or tire treatment of any kind. Hoosier Comanche 27.5 -8.0-15 or 26.5.5 -8.0 -15 only.
Teams will be required to buy 4 tires at the track unless otherwise indicated by entry
blank. These tires will be impounded and may be picked up at a designated time
before qualifying. You must qualify and finish the race on those 4 tires.
15. Any brake pedal located in stock position with master cylinders on the engine side of
the firewall will be allowed. Any other configuration of pedal and master cylinder will be
assessed a 50lb penalty
16. Frame must remain stock from front of steering box to center of rear axle. Lower Aframes
and rear trailing arms must be in stock mounts and stock locations. Upper Aframe
mounts may be altered. Tubular UPPER A-frames may be used. Lower A-Frames
must remain STOCK. Frame may be notched for fuel pump clearance. Cars must retain
stock OEM spec parts. (Lower A-frames, spindles, front hubs, trailing arms, and steering
components must remain stock OEM parts) A floater rear end will be
mandatory. Maximum tread width for front and rear of car measured from outside of
tires at spindle height is 76.” Front sway bars must be stock type only (Howe type).
No splined sway bars allowed and no rear sway bars allowed.
17. One steel non-adjustable shock per wheel, $100.00 max. cost, any shock determined
to have a new price of more than $100 will NOT BE ALLOWED.
18. Bump stops, coil binding and any other chassis limiting devices other than
conventional springs and shocks will not be allowed. There will be a minimum of 800 lb.
front springs. Shocks must be full travel with no bump rubbers, internal or external. Shocks
must have remaining travel at normal suspension movement. Cars that do not have
conventional springs, ie torsion bars, will be dealt with on an individual basis.
19. Driveshaft must be painted white with at least one proper driveshaft loop.
20. All non crate engines: Must be same manufacturer as car. Must be all cast iron (block,
heads, intake, & exhaust manifolds) No angle plug heads allowed. Chevrolet cylinder heads
must be based on 23 degree stock cast iron OEM style cylinder head. The intake must
resemble a stock cast iron OEM style intake. No spacer plates between intake and cylinder
head surfaces. No headers. 362 cubic inch or less can deduct 50 lbs. No engines larger
than 410. No big blocks. Flat top pistons only, 2 valve relief’s ok. Rocker arms must be
stock configuration stamped steel. Stud mounted roller rocker arms will be allowed, 50lb
penalty. 450 max. lift hydraulic cam may compete at no penalty. Any cam other than that
must add 50 lbs. No roller cams. Wet sumps only. An accusump or oil accumulator may
be used. Exhaust must be 2 pipes (max 2 ½” diameter) that must exit in front of the
right rear tire. Pipes may not be connected in anyway. An HEI style distributor must
be used. Coil and module must remain in distributor. A special RPM limiting
module must be used. MSD #83647.
21. Crate Engines only: Chevrolet 602 crate engine will be allowed to compete, OEM
specs only. Can run this engine in any manufacturer of car as outlined in #2. (See above)
Crate engines only subject to following changes: 650 cfm Holley 80541-1 carburetor
allowed. OEM aluminum intake allowed. Headers allowed, but must use 2 ½” exhaust
pipe behind headers and must exit in front of right rear tire and cannot be connected. HEI
style distributor must be used with RPM limiting module (MSD 83647). No gear rule, but
must run designated track RPM limit. Base weight for crate motor will be 3050 lbs. All
other weight penalties will apply. Subject to complete tear down or crate engine exchange.
22. Water only, no antifreeze
23. Engine in stock location or most forward spark plug, no further back than the center
line of the upper ball joints.
24. No electric fuel pumps.
25. One out of the box stock 4412 Holley two barrel for engines larger than 362 cu. in.
Choke horn must remain, choke mechanism may be removed. One carburetor spacer,
maximum thickness with gaskets of 1 ¼". Carburetor must be unaltered.
Engines less than 363 cu. in will be allowed any 4 barrel carburetor.
26. No spoilers, either stock or after market, will be allowed. A hood scoop will be
allowed but must be sealed completely. All hoods must be within 1 ½” of the windshield.
27. All body parts must be securely fastened. Any body parts that appear to be loose or
not securely fastened will be black-flagged.
28. No traction controlled devices of any kind will be allowed.
29. Aftermarket nose pieces that will be allowed for use are the following:
81 Camaro- must be used on Camaros or Firebirds only
81-88 Monte Carlo
86 Caprice (Available at ARP Bodies)
85-89 Chrysler Lebaron
89 T-bird
89-90 Old Cutlass
30. Radios will be mandatory and each car will require use of a spotter in a designated
spotters stand. No car will be allowed on the track at any time without a spotter in
the designated spotters stand.
31. Electronic scoring will be used. A $100 deposit, when necessary, must be paid when
transponder is picked up. Your deposit will be refunded when the transponder is returned.
32. Numbers can now be guaranteed for the entire racing season. You may request
your numbers immediately by sending your request along with a check for $ 50.00 to Frank
Kimmel Street Stock Nationals, 13461 St. Rd. 60, Borden, IN 47106.
Numbers to be guaranteed will be first come, first serve. No duplicate numbers. Numbers
must be at least 24" high, 3" wide on both doors and roof of car. Your car number 6” in
height must be displayed in the upper right hand corner of the windshield.
33. No entry refunds. Promoter has the right to reject any entry or car from
competing. Rules are subject to change at officials’ discretions and weight
penalties may be added for rule infractions.
34. Teams will be responsible for the cleaning of pit area. There will be a charge for
leaving tires or parts behind.
35. A finishing order will be posted at the tech area after post race inspections are
completed. Competitors will have 15 minutes after the posting to protest the finishing
order. After 15 minutes, the finishing order will be official and no changes will be made.
36. We will no longer pay competitors at the track. The payoff checks will be issued and
mailed by the 3rd business day after the event.

SPECIAL RULES/Will change from race track to race track
1. Each track will have a specific gear ratio. Rockingham – 275, Salem – 325, Bristol –
325, Kentucky – 275, Charlotte - 275.
2. RPM limit will be 5000 at all tracks, crate motors will be allowed 5500 rpm.
3. The yellow and red flags will be used. Yellow laps will count. There will be a
mandatory stop at approximately half way. This will be the only time fuel may be
added to the car. Other adjustments, tire changes, etc. will be allowed. The field will be
realigned at the current running order at this time for the restart.

You are responsible for the weight of your car, make sure you understand the
rules and make your car the correct weight for after the race. No fuel will be
allowed to be added after the race.
We reserve the right to change or adjust the rules at any time to enhance
competition and car counts.
